Pied A Terre
Targeted at the bridge to designer footwear market, the brand trades in solus stores under its own fascia as well as in premium department stores such as Selfridges, Brown Thomas and other leading department stores. The typical customer is stylish, fashionable and independent, with her own individual taste and is confident in her own interpretation of fashion. She predominantly shops in boutiques, vintage stores and premier department store environments which allows her to mix well known high end brands with exclusive labels. Pied A Terre provides the quality and style she has grown accustomed to, complimenting her other fashion choices and giving her the freedom to express herself. Pied A Terre has now been introduced into men’s footwear and is available in solus stores and within leading men’s footwear departments across the UK and Ireland.
Bertie
Bertie is one of the original brands of the Shoe Studio and is a contemporary men’s and women’s footwear brand targeted specifically at the young (20–35 year old) fashion conscious consumer, who has surplus disposable income to devote to fashion and partying. The ranges tap into the season’s leading looks adding a distinct edge that aims to differentiate the product in the marketplace. Bertie operates from several solus stores and many of the leading department stores in the UK and Ireland, as well as within international department stores.
Nine West
The Nine West brand is operated by Shoe Studio under an exclusive UK license. It offers fashion product that is not bound by age or life-stage and appeals to independent, knowledgeable women, confident in expressing their individuality and style in all aspects of their life including home and appearance. The Nine West customer likes to create her own look and likes to be on trend but believes that it is more important to feel appropriately dressed for the occasion rather than adhere to strict fashion rules and statements. The Nine West brand has its own solus stores and is also represented in major department store groups across the country.
Principles
Newly launched for Autumn/Winter 2006 and available in the Shoe Studio solus stores and the majority of Shoe Studio concessions, in addition to Principles solus stores nationwide, this mid-market footwear range is especially designed to compliment the Principles clothing range. Covering all of the season’s key looks across the collection, the range offers practical day wear, stylish evening wear and casual weekend wear. With its contemporary designs the collection is sleek, sophisticated and feminine.
Kenneth Cole
This brand bridges the gap between designer and high end fashion and encompasses a full urban lifestyle collection of high quality footwear, handbags and other lifestyle accessories, including outerwear and luggage. The Shoe Studio licenses the brand from the parent company Kenneth Cole Productions and creates ranges to address the needs of the UK and Irish men and women’s fashion markets.
Roland Cartier
Roland Cartier serves more mature, professional, career-orientated women and men who desire classic, timeless quality and styling with an emphasis on special occasions. The ranges are generally aimed at the more formal day and evening occasions and have the style and finesse to complement any outfit for any event.
Easy Spirit
The Easy Spirit customer is well educated and affluent, and is generally married with children. She is concerned with how clothes and footwear make her feel and how they can allow her to balance all the elements in her life with designs she will reach for again and again. Easy Spirit footwear is designed and manufactured to fit the contours of a woman’s foot and ensure comfort in both work and leisure for the modern woman of today. Shoe Studio licenses the brand exclusively in the UK.
In addition to these brands, Shoe Studio also designs and sources a number of wholly owned brands exclusively for Debenhams as part of the ‘Designers at Debenhams’ fashion range and also sells 70 other leading fashion brands from Diesel to Lacoste at the younger end of the fashion market, to Prada, Gucci and Christian Louboutin at the luxury end of the market.
Whilst the Shoe Studio’s main focus is on women’s footwear, it also sells men’s shoes through its showcase free-standing ‘Chelsea Cobbler’ Oxford Street store and in strategically selected concessions within leading department stores. Its core men’s brands are Bertie, Kenneth Cole, Roland Cartier and Pied A Terre, which it complements with external brands at the Shoe Studio Group’s disposal to provide a full menswear offer in its stores.
The Shoe Studio comprises of 25 solus stores (including a flagship Shoe Studio store airside, Gatwick Airport North Terminal) and 255 concessions within major leading department stores in the UK, Ireland, Iceland, Denmark, Holland and Turkey.
